3M Peltor ComTac VIII hearing protectors protect against noise levels up to 29 dB.
The protectors are equipped with the ability to adjust the volume of sounds and conversations heard according to your needs. The use of an advanced electronic system protects against impulse and constant noise. The listening mode with Mission Audio Profiles (MAP) maximizes hearing quality based on the acoustic environment. Spatial sound analysis automatically shapes sounds and helps you better understand speech in noise.
The wide ear pads provide excellent noise insulation. The lower part is contoured so that the protectors do not interfere with shooting. The low-profile headband distributes pressure evenly across the head, allowing them to be worn for long periods without causing discomfort. The sliding design makes it easy to adjust the protectors to the shape of the shooter’s head. The model is compatible with most military helmets.
The protectors are equipped with a microphone on the headband, allowing them to function as a headset for radio communication. With the appropriate PTT adapter, the headphones are compatible with most radios used by uniformed services and the military, e.g.
– Motorola GP340/360/380, GP344/388, Mototrbo, XTS5000,
– Harris,
– Radmor.
The Peltor ComTac VIII is powered by two AAA batteries, which provide approximately 50 hours of operation. To replace them, simply remove the panel on the side of one of the ear cups. The device is equipped with a low battery warning system and an automatic shut-off function after 4 hours of inactivity.
The protectors comply with MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461G standards.
